Unfortunately I had to order flowers for my father in law's funeral 😭 The ladies could not be more helpful when I called them up. I was 300 miles away at the time and only had the web site to guide me as to what I wanted. I managed to make some changes to the original design I had seen and add a few extras too. The ladies arranged for the flowers to be delivered to the funeral directors at no extra cost and even let me phone back when I had decided on the personal message. They were so lovely and made an unpleasant phone call I had to make a little more bearable. I didn't see the flowers until the actual funeral so was a little on edge but they were absolutely stunning and everyone commented on how beautiful they were. So thank you so much for making a beautiful goodbye tribute from my 4 year old daughter and 9 year old nephew to their beloved grandfather Neil. I couldn't have asked for better x

I love my wedding bouquet! The buttonhole flower for my husband was perfect! Thank you for accommodating a slight change of delivery address for us. You are amazing, thank you!

Flower Fayre

My daughter got married on 12th May 2018 at St Elizabeth House. The flowers from the Flower Fayre were absolutely beautiful!. We were recommended this florist by Prudence gowns where my daughter purchased her amazing dress. We had excellent service from the flower fayre, giving us time to chose the flowers and giving advice to help us. Just want to say a big thank you to everyone involved.

I have just celebrated our silver wedding anniversary and wanted flowers from here as we did 25 years ago! The girls were so helpful. Always answering my questions.Stuck to my budget and the flowers were beautiful. We had three table decorations and they lasted over two weeks from our party. Thank you so much.

Tips - Caring for your flowers once they are delivered

Placing your flowers in vase half to two thirds full with lukewarm water, will help closed buds to start opening.

  • Be careful when un-wrapping a hand-tied bouquet as it is delivered in a water bubble to keep the flowers fresh.
  • Arranging your flowers in cold water should be avoided as this can reduce the their life in the vase.
  • Avoid puting flowers in metal or aluminium containers - glass is ideal. Keep your flowers in a cool location, away from draughts, direct heat or sunlight. Arrange once unwrapped
  • Your flowers may take up to 24 hours after being placed in water to reach their full potential.
  • Strip off all excess foliage and leaves below the water level to reduce any harmful bacteria within the water.
  • Bacteria can block the stem and stop the flowers taking up the water.unwrap. Flowers like their stems trimmed. So, trim them, at an angle with a knife (rather than scissors) by an inch or so. When trimming stems, always cut at an angle of roughly 45degrees; this increases the surface area allowing your flowers to absorb more water.
  • If a Rose starts to droop at the head, re-cut the stem, wrap the head in paper to support it upright and plunge 5cms of the stem into boiling water for about 30seconds. Cut the stem again and place in deep cold water for two hours.trim

Most orders are accompanied by a sachet of cut flower food which will encourage buds to open and help to prolong the life and beauty of your flowers. Top up regularly with water and flower food, removing any fading flowers. Ensure the floristry foam used in arrangements is moist and topped up daily; this helps to prolong the life and vibrancy of your arrangements.
